GARDNER'S TRUST BRAILLE MUSIC LITERACY AWARDS 2010 Closing date for entry: Friday 7 May 2010. Or to Sally Zimmermann, Music Adviser, RNIB, 105 Judd Street, London, WC1H 9NE The Gardner's Trust for the Blind has established an annual competition, designed to encourage the use of Braille music amongst students up to the age of 19 in the UK. RNIB administers the tests of reading, understanding and performing from memory at five levels plus a Senior Braille Music Literacy Awards. All candidates receive a report and a certificate of entry and the best entrant reaching the required standard at each level is given a prize ranging from £10 to £250. Tests are to be held in May, June and July 2010.
