Absolutly not. This is an internationalistion problem, eg interpreting
"1001.0ms" and "1,000.0 milliseconds" and "1,001s". the point of the string
rendering is to allow a user presentable form (pretty printing) of a port
value. There is no need for it to be roundtripable.
