I dont see how thats a -, its more like a 0 AFAICT. Theres no evidence
that double i/o is useful for anything.

This could be seen as a minus: more confusing, loss of quality and
efficiency when converting between plugins of different types, complexity,
harder to debug. I dont know what the advantages are.

What do we do when everyone is argued out? Not many people have actually
chganged thier minds about this issue and we seem pretty split on it.
