If we are to be bundling and unbundling wires, there will be a lot of
converters. Either they will have to be in the host, or they will incur
lots of useless buffer copying as inputs will not map directly to outputs.
Just one case, minor, but real. Any plugin with more than one functional
unit may not be eligible.
