A small language issue:

When you say this in 1.

A GMPI plugin that works in one host should work in ALL hosts.

it may be unclear that all hosts are not required to support all types of GMPI plugins. For instance, a host might support audio in-audio out, but not control in-control out. This is specified later, but it would probably be good to make this a little clearer here.
