Why not allow the musician to choose the VVID assignment scheme from a selection?

Some posibilities:
1) playing a note twice re-uses the same voice (like the Piano).

2) playing a note twice plays two independent voices. (Like Tim's "8 instances of the same pitch" example).

3) All notes play on a single voice ( for monophonic performances like basslines and flutes )

etc.

Rather than have each plugin implement a fixed scheme, or a limited range of schemes. Put that functionality in the host, so any VVID assignment scheme could appy to any GMPI synth. As new schemes are invented, older synths would benefit from the new posibilities.
