Let me just clarify that that's not my way of saying, "Hey lookee dat,
after 3 months, Paul got almost as smart as me." I think that Paul's
proposal is better than mine was. :) I think it's a good way to take
advantage of the strengths of this group (lots of experience with existing
APIs and lots of smarts to figure out ways to address their shortcomings)
while avoiding our pitfalls (spiralling into debates about petty details
when we're trying to start from the really foundational and abstract
issues).
