I think you meant " parameters that can be ..."
The following made me uneasy...
"The host must be able to set a limit on the number of voices active in a
polyphonic instrument"
The host?. To me, that's normally managed by the synth. The obvious
example being a hardware synth, which has fixed polyphony.
