A) It worth to add MIDI editor plug-ins to "2. Plugin flavors" item.
Good approach to this type of plug-ins is in Yamaha OPT Level 3.

B) Add to item 3 (or as a separate item) host interfaces specific to
sequencers.
Sequencer interfaces
- Transport read & write access (notifications and control of start, stop,
loop, loop points, rewind)
- Access to real-time info for adequate UI updates (it is an issue when
plug-in renders data much ahead of time, like it is with almost all MIDI
plug-ins implementations)
- Read & write access to host tracks, clips and events (edit locks,
notification sinks, cusom event types, etc.)
- Access to marker, pitch, chord and like tracks

C) Data interchange formats for copy/paste and drag'n'drop operations
between plug-ins and host
- Standard MIDI File (may be with some extensions for clips, chord change
events, etc.) as a common event interchange format
- Wave file (with 'smpl', 'cue ', 'acid', etc. extra chunks) or link to it
as common audio format
