[gmpi] Host Code in C

Issue 2.
Should host example code be in C.
I'm a C++ coder, so rest assued I didn't code it that way for pleasure.
Also it's not intended to be a 'real' host, more like a rough guide to
using a GMPI plugin.
Advantages
- *very* easy to convert to C++ (so not a big deal?)
- *proves* GMPI API is callable from plain C ( thereby proving we meet
that requirement ).
