Yep, That's exactly how they fudge MIDI guitars. They're treating each MIDI
channel as a 'voice' (string).
It's not really an argument *against* voices, It's illustrating that you
*do* need to be able to address each voice individually.
But why have two ways of doing the same thing? A Channel should be a
Channel, not a pseudo-voice.
