The whole reason for having tools is they provide a superior means of
achieving a goal. A GMPI that does all the Csound score format currently
does (which is a hell of a lot more than MIDI) is simply superior to using
GMPI for some easy stuff and then using Csound for the stuff that's still
hard and then pasting it together somehow.
A superior GMPI might mean the difference between doing the whole score
including the grain clouds and multiply bent string sections in some yet to
be written sequencer in one day -- versus doing part of the score in an
existing sequencer and part in Csound and mixing them together in two days.
And then finding it still doesn't sound quite right because you didn't get
enough times to listen to the whole thing through.
