Wasn't this also about (for example) a single parameter that would change an
entire internal filter bank setup that takes too much CPU time to do in
real-time for every little parameter change?
I've heard that in VST land people tend to do this using a separate thread
that does what needs to be done.
Don't know if it needs to be a requirement.
