It's not "so hard", it's just one more thing that plugins have to deal
with instead of hosts.  My own opinion is that the host should just do it.
If a user does that during a performance, he risks drop-outs.

But we could agree that if the host denies that request, the "operation
was not permitted at this time".

Is it worth the awkwardness for the plugin?  I want to say no, and that
the host should handle it, but I don't feel stringly enough to argue it
very well. :)  Anyone?
