The annual Tidewater Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be held on 
Saturday, March 14, 2015.  Approximately 300 students in grades 6-12, from 
throughout the Tidewater region will be selected to participate in this event.  
The students may enter their research posters in one of fifteen categories to 
be evaluated by volunteer judges.  A truly authentic experience, this allows 
youth in our region to develop and practice important workplace skills.  Each 
year, senior first place category winners are invited to compete in the 
Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair; the two senior level winners will 
be invited to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair.  In 
addition, top projects in the junior division may be submitted to the Broadcom 
Masters Science and Engineering Fair.

I would consider it a great honor if you would serve as a judge for the 
Tidewater Science and Engineering Fair to be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 
at the Webb Center on the campus of Old Dominion University.  All judges are 
requested to arrive at the Webb Center by 7 a.m. for a briefing and 
refreshments.  Preliminary judging will begin promptly at 7:35 a.m.  Judging 
will conclude by Noon, with the exception of those considered for top overall 
honors, which will be completed by 1 p.m.  We invite you, as well, to the award 
ceremony that will begin at 2 p.m.
