Dear Guy
The question you posted was analyzed by Napoleon Bonaparte, Carl Marx, Herzel,
Freud and many others. The great Argentine writer Ernesto Sabato wrote that
anti-Semitism is a feeling with ancient roots that is deeply assimilated in
many people and for that it is almost impossible to combat it with words.
I seriously doubt that it can be eradicated during the present generations.

Réponse : il n’y a pas de recette miracle, mais des actes et propos attendus
et par qui ?
Plus que des médias et les gouvernements qui parfois tiennent sur le sujet des
propos de circonstance sans âme et sans saveur, je pense pour ma part, et sur
la durée : que les meilleurs acteurs pour faire régresser, puis disparaître ce
fléau sont les représentants des 3 grandes religions du livre : juifs,
chrétiens, Musulmans : les descendants d’Abraham !
N’oublions pas, les persécutions ou mises en surveillance des juifs durant le
moyen âge, et même jusqu’au concile Vatican II.
Les représentants chrétiens et Musulmans sont-ils prêts à le faire ? Certes,
il y a parfois des rencontres et expressions communes, comme il y a parfois
également des tensions. Les enjeux sociétaux actuels avec l’expression accrue
de fondamentalistes dans les 3 religions, et surtout de mouvances islamistes
fanatiques qui tuent sans retenue y compris par décapitation, et dont DAESCH
est le pire représentation parmi le pire, rendent urgent ce type de dialogue et
coopération interreligieuse sincère, approfondie, porteuse de sens d’un futur
possible et nécessaire.
Si l’on me posait la question : comment mieux combattre l’islamophobie,
j’userai des arguments qui me semblent appropriés.

Answer: aren't there an expected miraculous formula, but acts and remarks and
by which?
More than of the media and the governments which sometimes hold on the subject
of the remarks of circumstance without heart and savor, I think for my part,
and over the duration: that the best actors to make regress, then to disappear
this plague are the representatives of the 3 great religions of the book: Jews,
Christians, Muslims: descendants of Abraham!
Let us not forget, persecutions or settings in monitoring of the Jews during
the Middle Ages, and even until the council the Vatican II.
Are the Christian and Moslem representatives ready to do it? Admittedly, there
are sometimes common meetings and expressions, as there are sometimes also
tensions. The current sociétaux challenges with the increased expression the
fundamentalist ones in the 3 religions, and especially of fanatic islamist
mobilities which kill without reserve including by decapitation, and of which
DAESCH is the worst representation among worst, make urgent this kind of dialog
and sincere, thorough co-operation interreligieuse, carrying direction of a
future possible and necessary.
If the question were put to me: how to better fight the islamophobie, I will
use of the arguments which seem to me suitable.
