Objet : Prière pour la paix au Vatican

Bonjour,

Hello,

Some messages of hope: In France, Normandy on June 6th, at the time of the
day commemorating the 70e birthday of the heroic landing of the Allied in
Normandy: Presidents PUTIN and OBAMA, could exchange some words, as well as
the Presidents Russian and Ukrainian (this last recently elected) and a
Russian ambassador attended his nomination.

Below: this godly man who is the Pope FRANÇOIS: took an initiative placing
the spiritual forces of the spirit above political considerations.

Finally = some signs of hope, with those and those which too often isolated,
are often reduced to silence; censured, marginalized, this because their
human word disturbs the strategies related on the power, the money, the
domination of human beings on other human beings

Message of Guy CREQUIE before his departure for Italy from June 10th to June
18th.

INTERNATIONAL - presidents Palestinian Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Shimon
Peres will go to the Vatican on June 8th in order to request with the pope
François for peace in the Middle East, announced the Vatican.

“The meeting of prayer for the peace, to which the Holy Father invited the
presidents of Israel, Shimon Peres, and of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, will
take place on Sunday, June 8, during the afternoon, in the Vatican. This
date was accepted by the two parts”, the spokesperson of the Holy See
indicated, the father Federico Lombardi, in an official statement.

“I offer my house to accommodate this meeting of prayer”

At the end of the mass, Sunday, on the place of the Manger in Bethlehem,
François had announced with the general surprise that it invited the
presidents Israeli and Palestinian to go in “his house” to the Vatican:

“In this place (of Bethlehem), where was born the Prince from peace, I wish
to address an invitation to you, Mr. President Mahmoud Abbas, and with Mr.
President Shimon Peres, to make assemble together with me an intense prayer
by calling upon of God the donation of peace”, the chief of the Roman
Catholic Church had said.

“I offer my house, in the Vatican, to accommodate this meeting of prayer.
All, we wish peace. Many people build it each day by small gestures. Many
are those which suffer and support patiently the efforts of many attempts to
build it”, he had added.

“All - especially those which are placed at the service of their people, we
have the duty to make us instruments and craftsmen of peace, above all in
the prayer. To Build peace is difficult, but to live without peace is a
torment. All the men and all the women of this ground and the whole world
ask us to carry in front of God their burning aspiration to peace”, he had
concluded, in his call without precedent.

The date could be neither Friday nor Saturday

The two presidents had quickly stated themselves available to go to the
Vatican. Shimon Peres, whose mandate is completed in a few weeks and who is
a friend of the pope, had however been long in giving a date. The gestures
of François during his voyage were not appreciated of all in the Israeli
political community.

The selected date could neither be Friday, Moslem holy day, nor Saturday,
day of Sabbath for the Jews. For the Christians, this Sunday, June 8 is the
festival of Pentecost, the more important third after Easter and Christmas,
who celebrates the moment, where, according to the tradition, the Holy
Spirit is descended on the apostles, in particular making known to them of
the languages of the others.

On the aircraft which brought back it from Jerusalem to Rome, the pope had
specified that it was not at all about a “mediation” of his share, but of
the conviction that the prayer could inspire peace. François had already had
the one day idea of prayer for peace in Syria last September, at the moment
when the United States and France thought of air strikings against the mode
of Bachar Al-Assad.
