Dear Leo and all,
For a credible education:
I found that through 65 GHA projects since 2005, corruption is rarely
mentioned, while this fatal scourge is harmful to the development of all
spheres: economic-social-cultural-academic ...
With my modest experience in education, I think that the fight against
educational corruption provides several concrete steps to preserve the
educational environment by preventing abuse of authority, misappropriation and
covert bargaining. It urges states, international organizations, business and
civil society to ensure that the need for good governance is at the heart of
education policies everywhere in the world.
To be able to educate the committed citizens of tomorrow, the school must be
free of all corruption. Schools and universities must show the greatest
integrity if they want to train future leaders by giving them the keys to
success and, more importantly, by giving them the means to combat all forms of
malfeasance. The youngs : 15-24 year olds, who represent one fifth of the
world's population, are today's citizens and the leaders of tomorrow, they are
the present and the future of the fight against corruption.
Access to information on education policies, the establishment of codes of
conduct governing the participation of educational staff, parents and students
in decision-making, the establishment of control and accountability mechanisms
in the school environment: all these elements would make it possible to
guarantee that every penny spent on the education of our children is allocated
to its primary objective: to build schools, to pay teachers, to buy textbooks.
The reality is different. In many countries, the reputation of the education
system is undermined by corruption. One on five people in the world have had to
pay bribes to access educational services. In the poorest countries, this
number rises to one in three.
Educational corruption reveals the many forms of corruption in the education
sector: embezzlement of public funds, concealment of certain costs, sale of
fake diplomas ... the list is long.
I also think that in all its forms corruption is a dangerous obstacle to the
quality of education and socio-economic development. It compromises the work of
universities and may even have a lasting impact on the reputation of the entire
higher education system in a country where "forger intellectuals" are immersed
and credible intellectuals are marginalized.
the struggle against this dangerous phenomenon is aimed at drawing a roadmap
for the future. It sets out new methods to put an end to corruption in the
education sector.
I find that GHA could show that it is possible to fight against corruption in
the educational sector by developing many programs that integrate this fight
into school curricula and educational activities via the following steps:
-Evolution of corruption in the education sector on a global scale.-The
magnitude of corruption phenomena in the education sector: elements of
understanding-Clearness and integrity in higher education-Innovative methods to
fight corruption in the education sector-The importance of teaching to
strengthen personal and professional integrity
Finaly ,I think that it is vital today to combat the trivialisation of
corruption and to promote integrity among young people; it is an essential step
in building a better future.

Subject: "Peacebuilding Manifesto for the 21st Century": What the peoples
await, want and demand from the US-Russia summit+++Three proposals
Dear Leo,
For the title, I marginally prefer number 1. However, I suggest a small
correction to the English.
"A manifesto for global peace building in the 21st century."
'Roadmap' is good if there are a series of steps to be followed.
I think the reference to 'global' is important.
'In the 21st century' could be omitted, particularly as the steps towards
global peace could stretch into the next century or even beyond.
Best wishes,

Dear friends-peacemakers,
Many thanks for your responses and suggestions, which are published with our
Manifesto (http://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=834). In the course of its
discussion, three valuable proposals-additions to it arose, which are included
and published in it. In view of their importance, they are offered separately
for your discussion.
The first valuable proposal concerns the fate of the planet, the environment
and the noosphere in it in the context of a growing arms race and the expanding
global militarization of this noosphere. It arose in connection with the
valuable letter of prof. Boris Rezhabek, Director of the Institute of
Noospheric Development and Research (INDR), Moscow. It's published.
"The constantly growing threat of self-destruction of humanity tramples the
first and fundamental human and humanity right to life, making it ever more
chimerical and questionable. The growth in volumes and, above all, the
effectiveness of weapons, especially nuclear and similar, proportionally
reduces the existential level and probability of the survival for humankind on
the planet as its noosphere. The perspective of an endless intensification
within continuous arms race in this planetary sphere turns it from "reasonable"
into "insane sphere". It is alone on the planet irresistibly aspiring to
self-destruction for more than a century, practicing in the world wars and
steadily raising their "rating" both in social production, in the public
consciousness and in power."
The second valuable proposal is connected with the genius and "crazy" in the
current militaristic times, Martin Luther King's testament "to shift the arms
race into a peace race." Nobody even tried to suggest this at the public
discussion level of the UN, UNESCO and other international organizations (if I
am not mistaken), in an atmosphere of absolute triumph and prosperity of global
militarism. There was an idea, maybe the original and outstanding modern
leaders of the United States and Russia will be able to rise to the level of
genius "crazy" thinking of King as well as John Kennedy? This idea took shape
in the following additional phrase of our Manifesto: "(Are the US and Russia
leaders able to rise to the level of King and to realize this historic "shift"
at least in the format of an agreement of intentions for the near future?)"
The third proposal is related to the most correct title of the Manifesto. We
offer a choice of the best its title from three proposed:
1. A Manifesto of Global Peacebuilding for the 21st Century.
2. A Manifesto of Peacebuilding for the 21st Century.
3. A Road Map of Peacebuilding for the 21st Century.
Of course, other variations on this subject are possible. What is the best name
for it? Suggest it for discussion. What do you think about the proposed
additions and changes? Thank you.
Best wishes of peace from harmony for the US-Russia summit,
Leo
