ONZIEME JOURNEE MONDIALE CONTRE LA PEINE DE MORT

AVANCONS VERS L’ABOLITION UNIVERSELLE !

prise ! Or, l’histoire nous a révélé maintes tragédies d’erreurs judiciaires.

continents !

ELEVENTH WORLD DAY AGAINST THE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

LET US ADVANCE TOWARDS UNIVERSAL ABOLITION!

The national President of international Amnesty in letter of October points out
it: since 1977 and its 16 free trade countries, the engagements for the
abolition of the capital punishment, make that today there are 140 free trade
countries!

Indeed, if independent justice must make its work at the time of fair trials,
and to sanction the odious crimes hard, with including, I decide for the
application of incompressible sorrows applying for perpetuity in certain
situations.

However, the application of the capital punishment denies the respect of the
dignity of the existence. If the sanction can deny the life and thus in certain
circumstances become a normal act, legitimates, this normality: the assassins
apply it for themselves.

For them also: to kill is a banal, normal act for them, this, so that they can
satisfy their death instincts.

Then indirectly if to kill is an allowed standard, the war = prolongation of
the policy by other means, also finds a reason justifying when it is evoked and
put in work.

Thus, when 58 countries and territories maintain this punishment cruel, inhuman
and degrading, it is still necessary to act:

In the October issue of the letter of Amnesty, figures are given: In 2012

- 682 people were carried out,

- 1722 people were condemned to this sorrow,

- 58 countries pronounced the capital punishment

- 21 countries carried out executions,

- 23386 people were in the corridors of death.

These figures cannot take into account the thousands of died in China not
listed, this, because in China the executions are State secret.

The capital punishment that it is exempted by: injection, firing squad,
hanging, decapitation, lapidation, remain an act brutal, violent, degrading.

- Then, the capital punishment when carried out is irreversible: a life was
taken! However, the history revealed us many tragedies of miscarriage of
justices.

Examples are given to us: on May 21st, 2013 in Saudi Arabia five Yemeni
prisoners under sentence of death were decapitated, then crucified.

the crucifixion consists in displaying the body and the head on the public
place to frighten. Joseph CLARK in 2006 in Ohio condemned by injection failed
during 90 minutes ......

Still let us announce, that among the 58 countries which did not abolish the
capital punishment some the bracket for acts which are not part of the most
consequent crimes within the meaning of the international law like: sexual
relationships except marriage or with a person not the spouse, frauds, the
non-observance of religious regulations, the alcohol abuse or the consumption
of narcotics.

Therefore, let us act still and always for universal abolition on all the
continents!
