That he always says, and it is true.. Within the rule of law of the Christian
religion, as it pertains to doctrine and dogma. It does not mean as regards
the secular life. If you lived in the Vatican State then yes you are subject
like any other country. . It is not even anywhere near as slavic as required
by edict to be subject to the Monarch of a country , or even a democracy, where
you are subject to the law.
You are being nitty malicious Bernie. Very few of the Catholic Monarchs
tolerated direct interference from any Roman Pope, in the affairs of state..
The Pope always asked (begged?) for military aid when it was needed.
