I don't understand why there is any doubt at all about this.

Where are astronomical telescopes built? As high as possible up mountains, right? Why is that? Because the air is thinner (hence altitude sickness becomes a problem for some astronomers), and the view of the stars is enhanced.

Why have we supposedly got a space telescope? Because seeing is clearer.

This talk of not seeing stars is utter nonsense.
