  Philip,

Unless you antipodeans have a different meaning, "ham" is pork.

I gave up eating it years ago when I found out that it was forbidden in the
"Old Testament." Haven't touched it since.

  Neville.

Before I answer your question, you will need to answer one of mine. Why do
you eat pork?

    Neville.
Not that any cares to know, but I always refuse to eat Pork, reasoning that
God must have had a good reason in protecting his chosen people from consuming
it. Same with crab and lobsters etc.

    I love ham though.. Yummy.

    Philip.

      Dear Jack,

I never stated that I would be revisiting scripture because of medical
research, but yes, that would be back to front if I accepted all scripture as
God-breathed. However, since you have seen my commentaries on Leviticus and
Numbers you must surely be aware that I do not view all scripture as
God-breathed. On the contrary, I accept that the "lying pen of the scribes" has
corrupted huge chunks of it.

Before I answer your question, you will need to answer one of mine. Why
do you eat pork?

      Neville.

        Dear Neville,
It would appear from your reply that you will be revisiting scripture
as a result of medical research. Surely this is back-to-front, shouldn't it be
scripture first then science as in evolution and geocentrism?

How would you answer my question about your own personal salvation and
heaven if you were to suddenly die? The reason I ask this is how do you think
God views your changing beliefs with respect to eternal life? Do you know
anyone else who shares your particular current belief?

        Jack
