I would certainly qualify for the above.

The mountain biking community has run into these same land access issues
since the first 2-wheeler hit the trails. And it varies a lot from state =
to
state....some are pretty open-minded and not very restrictive, others =
are a
royal PITA.

**IMO**, it comes down to money and power. Those states with large
populations of equestrians and active Sierra Clubs have always *seemed* =
to
be the most restrictive.

Given that mountain bikers leave nothing but tracks behind (and tracks =
that
are far less abusive to the land than any horse will create), it =
wouldn't
surprise me in the least if some of the powers that be would view =
caching as
'geotraching'.
