Hey, after everyone told me cachemate was so great and did all this great
stuff I bought it. I sure would like to be convinced but the only good thing
I have found for it so far is it generates the files much faster than
plucker. However, overall it takes MORE time to get the cachemate files
loaded. For Plucker, I open GSAK, push the macro button for the Pocket
Querry. (Then I will use GSAK to load the caches to my GPS.) Then I open
plucker and push another button. Then that is all that needs to be done.
While it takes a while for plucker, while plucker is running I import the
files GSAK created into Street Atlas.

For cachemate, I can open the file in GSAK and add the creation to my macro.
So I can get the cachemate file with one click. But it loads it onto the
PDA's main memory, so it takes a few clicks to get it to the card. So that
is the same amount of clicking for plucker. Once you start cachemate, then
you have to import the file into cachemate. So it takes more time to get
the caches into cachemate. I also like to keep different pocket queries
which is a royal pain in cachemate and extremely simple in plucker.

Another major problem with cachemate is it stores the caches in the main
memory. Plucker will allow you to store the files on your card.

Plucker looks much better than cachemate and it is easy to see what you need
with the icons. In plucker, you can see the rating of the cache without
having to go to a different screen. In cachemate you have to go to a
different screen.

Plucker has the links for the nearest caches. With cachemate, you have to
do some clicks and then you have to wait while it generates a list. What a
pain.

It is also easier to find the cache in plucker as unlike cachemate, it has a
link for each letter of the alphabet.

So what is so great about cachemate?
