Your summary says that the "nomination are closed". If I read Section 4
correctly, the nomination process BEGINS during the Spring picnic. They
are then FINALIZED on month prior to the Fall picnic. Would that not
leave the nominations OPEN until finalized one month prior to the Fall
picnic? I know this is an interpretation issue, but that is how I interpret it. For the 2006-2007 term, elections were held by email and the results were announced "before" the fall picnic. No voting was conducted at the fall picnic. This is the procedure that I was following. I should have read reread the bylaws. Since this is what the bylaws calls for, this is what we'll do. Nominations are still closed, and the final list will be made available at least a month before the Picnic. Picnic information should be available before the end of July. The officers (for the most part) do not have access to it. I do, but only to verify that my setup worked and in case of emergency. We has asked Glenn to summarize the nominations and report them to the officers. At that point, we will contact each of the nominees to verify that they are willing to serve. Once verified, they will be placed on the ballot and then voting will begin. I'm guessing by the 15th of July, but it might take a bit longer.
