Here is a nice sounding event that could be held anyplace. Structured like this, is this any good?
--------------------------

July 15, 16 & 17 MyTown, USA will hold its annual Festival: a celebration of art, science, and technology. The geocaching event will be held on Sunday, July 17 from 10:00 - 4:00.

On Sunday, July 17 you can register in one of two divisions: Novice & Advanced, for the event at the Geocaching  booth at the above coordinates. A novice cacher is someone who has previously found fewer than 10 caches. There you will receive a punch card. You will have 2 1/2 hours to find as many caches as you can. Each numbered cache will have a special hole punch; punch the number on the card corresponding to the cache to prove the find. All caches will be less than 1 mile from the booth. Bring your card back to the registration booth within the 2 1/2 hour time limit. Late returns will have points deducted. Times will be calculated using the clock posted in the registration booth.

There is no fee to register, but you must purchase a Festival bracelet to enter the area. We request that parents or an older sibling accompany children under the age of 12.

Each cache discovery earns points. Points, listed on the cache punch card, are assigned by the cache's challenge factor - the more challenging the cache location, the higher the point value. Geocachers who turn in a card at the end of the time period will be eligible to win prizes in each Division.

Prizes will be awarded at the  Stage at 4:30 p.m.

If you wish to participate but don't have a GPS unit some will be available for loan at the booth. There will be a deposit required.
