We went out to Meramec Caverns this morning to register everyone. There is a
total of 22 going for the ride. Anyone not registered but wanting to go with
the group will have to pay the full price of $49.
So, just repeating a few of the details:
EVERYONE needs to have both waivers filled out and turned in the morning of
the ride. See www.cavemanzipline.com for downloadable PDF files.
Since there will be 22 riders, we will break up into 2 groups of 11 each.
Clothing is optional (for what to wear) but NO open toed shoes. Tennis shoes
are recommended but I would guess hiking boots would be OK too.
First group will leave at 9:30AM so we need to be there close to 9AM. 2nd
group will leave about 10AM or after the first group has left the 2nd tower.
There are group rates ($14) available (15 or more) at the cave if anyone is
interested. Regular price is $19 for adults. One person would be in charge
of collecting the money from everyone. This can be set up the day of the zip
ride if anyone is interested and willing to collect the money.
After everyone rides and has recovered, we can decide on a place for lunch,
caching, or whatever else anyone wants to plan.
NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT ITEM:
I didn't realize they charged sales tax for the zipline ride. So the tax for
the $25 ride is $1.50. So rather than me being out the $33 tax, I hope
everyone will bring an extra $1.50 the day of the ride so I can get shoes
for my pour barefoot kids.
I think that sums everything up and we'll see you on July 31st.
