Bernie -- did you look at any of his other finds? Is this cacher using this
"couldn't sign log excuse" for a lot of them? If not, maybe he is truly
forgetting or losing his writing instrument. If you see this in a lot of his
other "finds", then I agree with what has been said before, drop a friendly
email and see if you can guide them into doing it the right way. I know it's a
game, but all games have rule. All cache rules are different from one to
another, but the rules are there for a reason.

If you must sign the log or "get into the cache" in order to receive credit
then that is different. (And I just saw the safecracker cache last night and
can't wait to do this one).

PS: I always carry 2 or more pens at any given time. But I think that's the
writer in me more so than the cacher in me ;-) But if you ever need to borrower
one.....

Arlene, the first time I deleted his log and then he came back stating that he
had no pen. He did describe things correctly. I let him relog. He has 47 finds.

Did he have a reason for not signing? "Log too wet", "my pen ran out of ink",
or something like that? How about making them tell some sort of detail about
the cache...what color was the container? How was it secured in its hiding
place? I think I would right a note to them saying from now on sign the log or
it WILL be deleted. We forgot our pen a couple times, BUT each time I sent an
email to the owner teeling as many details as I could about the cache. Is this
a new cacher, or an oldie? Maybe they don't know the 'rules' of the game.

Arlene

I need some feedback on this one. There is a cacher who states in his logs "Did
not sign log" , but claims it as a find. He has done this to three of my
caches. What should I do? Delete or ignore. Bernie
