lesson plans for this session so someone needs to step up and teach..

Lost? with a GPS? I didn't hear that story.

Actually I think the next session will be on PC/laptop programs that work
with geocaching and the following session with be aimed at PDA's.

I have a Toshiba PPC and love it. But, I really think that the Palm OS is
more user friendly and can be used quicker out of the box with less of a
learning curve than a PPC (Windows based).

Palm based are a lot cheaper and are available in color or gray scale
screens, and I've seen them as cheap as $80-90 at Best Buy and places like
that.

But, it requires much more work to get the necessary info to the Palm from
the GPX file, whereas the PPC reads the GPX file directly using GPXsonar.

That's all I'm saying. I'll let Myotis and the others fight it out.

How about an inexpensive PDA for someone who has no use for one

other

than geocaching? (And has an e-trex)

Jim,
Are you asking about which inexpensive PDA to buy if you just want it

to

display the caching info or you want to sell one?
Rich

What the fellow meant to say.. :-)

Yeah, I'm looking for one to use with my e-trex, or even alone, but
about all I need it for is geocaching. I was hoping to question people
about this at the tune up and learn session, but as you know I got
lost on the way there. Well, I'm NOT admitting I got lost, but I
didn't make it either...

I'd consider a used one also if someone is wanting to 'step up.'
Especially one already loaded. :-)
