Jen,
   If you used the default install for GSAK then using My Computer to to
c:--> program files --> GSAK --> data--> then whatever the name you used for
your database (if you did not name it, it will be default)  Right click on
folder pick rename... name it something else.  Then open up gsak, it will
create a new empty data file.  If you have a backup file you want to
restore, you can locate in c:\program files\gsak\backup or you can just open
the last gpx file
