I believe that Sept 29 is the SLAGA Fall Picnic & Annual Meeting.

Hi,
last year, several people joined me at Thomas Jefferson School for a
Geocaching event at Thomas Jefferson School in Sunset Hills.
They've asked if I can organize another, and I'm trying to gauge
interest. It would be either Sept 22 or 29, depending on
availability.
However, there are a number of differences this time around...
1) I'm no longer working there
2) I have other commitments on both dates, and am not able to make
either date.
So, would people be willing to participate? I know those involved
last time had a lot of fun. Doing the same format as last year, there
would be a geo101 presentation in the morning, then a free lunch (!),
then going to hunt some caches in the afternoon. I'd like to suggest
somewhere close-ish, but perhaps not laumeier as that's where they
went last year, and I expect there to be some repeat attendees.
If I can get enough interest, I'll talk with my contacts at the school
to see what can be worked out.
