I should have it covered with all the great suggestions. You guys are great.
I'll attempt these again with all three methods and do some type of comparison.
Hopefully, I can give an update as to which method led to success.

To do a projection with a Magellan, try going to the forth screen from the
Satellite screen, this is the screen that has the Lat. & Long. at the top of
the screen, with a trip odometer at the bottom. (see the attached jpg for a
picture of this screen). Then press the menu button, and the forth option down
is projection. You should be able to get it from there. If not, just let me
