Susan, on Fox last night they had Charlie explaining that they needed to
cut operating costs and the best way to do that with the least impact was
the park system. Of course Walter Crawford was on too giving his point of
view about how important the parks are to not only the people who attend
but the wildlife as well. The operating costs of 1 park is very high. They
are considering cutting jobs along with park closings. However, if we can
offset operating costs of the parks, not all but just the ones that are
more popular, maybe that would keep a few on the list alive. Just thinking
out load here..
I know they can look deeper at other ways to cut, but logically, if they
can save jobs by closing parks, I don't think there's an argument. At a
point like this, you have to ask, "What would Ron Swanson do?"
