- It is late and I am a bit groggy after a 12 hour drive today, so I cannot quite remember the exact details, but.... I compete in national match high power rifle competition. Laying out on the ground in the middle of July / August with sun beating down on you in a leather shooting jacket can cause you to require LOTS of hydration. I talked to one of the guys that uses one of these, and he made some recommendations about making sure of the location of the filler and bite tube so that you could lay it in the freezer about three quarters full and freeze the contents without it leaking out. This worked out just right to have a nice cool drink available all day long. I know there were days when I wished I could have had a long cool drink while laying down at the 600 yard line trying to hit a 3 inch X ring with iron sights. It would be so nice to just move your mouth and bite down for a drink and not worry about having a bottle in the way of your other stuff, and having to get out of position to drink from it. One day I will be hot and dry enough to just go out an BUY it without any thought about any features as long as it will deliver the goods copiously when needed.
