You seem quite literate for a 17 yr. old, I definitely applaud your
restraint. Had I done so at that age..... Who Knows? I do agree with your
post in regards to events of the past month on this forum. There is
definitely a time and a place for EVERYTHING. SLAGA is a great organization,
you shouldn't have to put up with everyone elses problems, I think that some
folks have abused this forum to get on their soapbox. Thats not what it is
for. I wouldn't just quit the organization just yet, I think that some
people are still dealing with some aftershocks of past events. Things have a
way of working themselves out, just give it time.

Alrighty then...

I personally believe that SLAGA is a excellent, outstanding group. Not only
do we Geocache for fun, but we are especially involved in community service.
Whenever I participate in group events, I feel warmly welcomed. It's not
that often that such a large group of people is immediately accepting of a
17 year old. I'm proud of everything everyone has done to get SLAGA to this
point. For example: the nonprofit paperwork, MOGA, organized group hunts,
CITO and the website.

Lately, this newsgroup has been filling up my inbox with messages of a
childish nature. I applaud those who back up their claims, as Eric has done,
but there is a time and place for such things. There are proper channels to
follow. In my opinion, this bickering must stop. We all just need to get
along and let things go when necessary. I've bitten my tongue for long
enough. If accusations keep flying around, I will have no choice but to
remove myself from SLAGA. And, I'm sure I'm not the only person within this
group to have the same point of view.

Also, I might add, technology causes problems. Not delivering messages to
the appropriate addresses is one of them. I know in my time of utilizing the
newsgroup, many a message posted had to be resent because they didn't
appear. Servers freeze. Things happen. Hence, the source of MAILER-DAEMON
error messages.

> I have suspected for a while that I was being sensored. Yes, I said
sensored. What Glenn is doing to my is more than moderation. Many of my
posts, even ones that were totally "on topic" have not shown up. If he is
simply moderating then there would be NO NEED to block on topic posts!
>
> As many of you are probably aware, Glenn allowed (purposly or not) an
e-mail to pass through which let the entire GeoStl membership know that I
was being moderated. Upon receiving this embarassing e-mail I contacted him
off list enquiring as to why I was being sensored & why I was not notified
that I was going to be sensored. He said that because I have strong opinions
on many subjects and because some of you, in his words "bait me" he thought
it best to moderate me. He also gave me some lame excuse about not having
time to notify me that I was going to be sensored.
>
> I have given Glenn my word & I give it to you too, I will post nothing of
a religious or political nature, but he told me that if I didn't like things
as they are, that I should go to the mogeo forums.
> Well, forget it, he's not running me out of here!
> I have been civil to him in my e-mails, but now he is acting like a child
& is refusing to even answer my e-mails.

> As I said before, this probably wont reach the newsgroup, but at least
i've had a chance to vent.
