- Liver and onions, sauerkraut, the aforementioned herring, add some eggs and you have the start of a memorable breakfast. Some bell peppers, capers, pon haus really starts the gastric juices flowing. This could be brunch at Cabin Fever. - Don't know what to think about Sauerkraut soup. As I stated before, I do not eat Sauerkraut in restaurants. I think I'll have to pass on the soup and go for liver and onions. That sounds good. Actually this would be an excellent weekend (it's SOUP AND CHILI DAYS) to get a bunch of sauerkraut loving cachers together to pursue their gastronomic cravings. Although sauerkraut soup is one of their specialties, it's not available everyday. However if you'll give me a day's notice they'll have it available on whatever day you choose to visit. Interested??
