Nancy,

We're about in the same boat as you are/were except we got our power back
tonight. But we went the whole time, no quick "fixed" during the outage. We
lost everything in the refrig and freezer but it looks nice having a clean
and uncluttered icebox again. No actual damage outside except it looked like
fall with all the leaves but they were all green.

And no internet the whole time and that was actually pretty nice. I CAN
survive without knowing what's going on in the wired world but I did miss
the news on TV. Had to use the car for the car radio.

Thur. was the worse for sleeping. My wife stayed at her sisters and I slept
on the back porch. It was 91 at 11PM when I went to bed on the chaise lounge
and hosed it down and let the water soak into the padding which felt pretty
good. At 3:30 it was 83 outside so I thought I'd go to bed inside. It was 89
in there and when I woke up at 6:30 it was DOWN to 88. I didn't use the A/C
in the car so I wouldn't get so use to the cool air.

I just heard tonight it might be till Thursday before some in No. county get
their power back.

It wasn't fun but at least we had gas, water (and plenty of showers), and
phones and able to get around to large stores and places to cool off.

Rich
