- I called Dell. They were instrumental in helping me reinstall drivers...etc...It appears that I formatted the disk so windows could reload...Well now I know to back up everynight. Anyone know what could have happened. I don't think it was the worm, it'd shut down abruptly. Dell said they were 50% sure it was a virus and the other 50% was a hard disk error. I hibernated last night though. *Says chris confuzed* I'm running XP. ~Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Williams" <jwilliams2@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 14, 2003 12:52 PM Subject: [GeoStL] Re: OT-W32.Blaster.Worm > - > Did you format the hard drive or copy over what was already there? > > Jim > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Chris Binder" <cpbinder@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Thursday, August 14, 2003 11:52 AM > Subject: [GeoStL] Re: OT-W32.Blaster.Worm > > > > - > > Um...an slightly unrelated event: > > > > My computer was acting sluggish yesterday, and wouldn't turn on this > > morning.
