Welcome dan. I am sure that your GPS device has the capability to switch the display into different forms of a readout. Just dig deeper in the manual or start pushing mode buttons, or meet one of us on a cache and we will figure it out together. Otherwise, there are 60 Minutes in a degree, 60 seconds in a minute. For instance, Pray for the USA is displayed on geocaching in degrees and minutes N 38° 47.3406' W 090° 34.0938' There are 60 minutes in a degree (think of a clock). so to convert this to a decimal, The northern would be 38° 47.3406' = 38 + (47.3406/60)° = 38 + .78901 = 38.78901° Likewise, there are 60 seconds in a minute (like a clock) so to convert the other way. 38° 47.3406' = 38° 47' (60 x .3406)" = 38° 47' 20.436" is this what you are looking for?
