- Not that it would make much different, but the quote states that the sender must have the "intent to annoy". It doesn't say that it is a problem if the recipient is actually annoyed. So in the examples they give of someone wanting to bring a bad situation to light, their intent would not be to annoy, but to bring a bad situation to light. Thus that would not be illegal as it is portrayed in the article in the link. But then, there is language in the Bill of Rights that seems to be very obvious, yet it is twisted and/or ignored every day. Who is to say how this wording will get twisted and/or ignored. By the way, with laws like these being put on the books, it is more importantthan ever to get the activist judges off the benches. Write to your senators and reps and let them know this. Susan R.
