I have to say...WOW!! Your "new" camper looks awesome! Great job!!

Now you'll have to come along with one of our camping/caching trips! NO
EXCUSES!!

If you could send me a list offline of the campgrounds/locations you
stayed at. Most look real nice, except for the icky one. Not too sure
about that one.

Good job to you all!

Bridget

Subject: [GeoStL] NGR: Our "Antique" Camper Pictures

Because "you" (some) asked, here are a few (ok .. 111) pictures of the
refurbing and first outing(s) of our 1967 Thunderbird Camper. The
subtitle for this set of pictures could also be, from my husband's point
of view, "How I Spent My Unemployed Summer Vacation". This is not how
*I* envisioned we'd spend an unemployed summer, but it did keep him out
of the house for a few hundred hours. Yes.. few HUNDRED. He and his
(also unemployed) friend, under the direct supervision of any number of
neighbors with any number of cold beverages, sandwiches and snacks, at
any given time, spent all of June, July and part of August in our
driveway, deconstructing, reconstructing and inhaling any number of
dangerous fumes and particulates. Sunrise - to Sunset. Stopping only for
the occasional pool break. It was also a great excuse to buy a few new
toys.

I've also included a few pictures of the waiting-for-a-name little
camper in its spots on our trips. We've "lived" in this for a total of
3 weeks -- 17 of those days were with a big, furry dog (he got a trip to
a Michigan groomer half way through the big trip lol).

I think it's taken me just as long to sort through pictures as it took
him to refurbish it.

Also, keep in mind, if you ever see us her in person, we HAVE lived in
it non stop for 3 weeks -- we could use a bit more maintenance already.

Before starting this project, I had no idea that "Vintage Campers" were
so "popular". "Vintage Trailers" is to Camping as geocaching is to the
outdoors. A bit underground and edgy with many email lists devoted to
it.
