Nancy, thanks for the education. Don't ever recall seeing a pair of them. Shasta brand campers used to have "wings" on the side. These are "Decorations" and are highly coveted by people who restore Shastas. Usually the old campers are missing these because they've been knocked off, chewed off by varmints (which is what happened to the ones on my aunt and uncle' camper) or removed because sometimes they leaked. Here's a good picture of a restored Shasta with it's wings: http://www.vintageshastas.com/ We have a tiny a little camper.. YOU have .. a "Rig" .. that sounds like it's much much.. MORE .. than just a tiny camper; "rig" sounds rather intimidating, fancy, and large as compared to our little camper! LOL There's not much more harm he could have done to a 40 year old trailer... but something that's a "rig" .. whew.. now he could REALLY do some damage there!! We've not come across anyone else who has ever heard of a Thunderbird camper either. I think it was made in Indiana. I think. From what I've learned, there were a boatload (camper load ?) of manufacturers in the 40's- 60's. Many had production runs of under 1000 or they made campers kind of "on the side" to their normal jobs etc. One company would go out of business and another would buy their plans etc. Shastas are a popular vintage camper for restoration -- especially the little ones without full potties from the 40's and 50's. If you EVER come across a set or even ONE vintage Shasta "wing" and want to make an extra few hundred dollars -- put those guys on ebay. Shasta people would KILL for a pair of vintage wings. We're free this weekend if anyone wants to camp lol. And, Bernie, Tom says he would normally be glad to help anyone, but, once you have "a camper" that needs to be called a "rig" .. then you're waaaay out of our league lol. I may resent that "buggy whip" comment .. seeing as how .. I'm older than my "vintage" camper. eeeeeee A couple of fun places to look at pictures. http://iowaboys.com/salelist.htm http://vintageairstream.com/rr_topics_links.html Nancy
