Lightening rods are good. Especially if you are the tallest thing on the prairie! lol I have 3 on my house that are God knows how many decades of years old. Needless to say I am no longer the tallest thing around, the trees tower over the house now. As for the crocks, that is a fair price for them, IF they aren't all cracked and broken. Feather cracks in the glaze are normal. I unfortunately no longer make kraut. My aunt taught me how to make it in the crocks when I was a kid. She made kraut every fall with the extra cabbages from the garden. mmMMmm gooood! TOTALLY NON GEOCACHING RELATED To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Thursday, March 19, 2009, 1:34 PM I have my eye on that Whistle sign and the lightning rod. The Whistle sign would be awesome in my orange (gag -- haven't decided what color to paint it) family room and the lightning would make a nice mate for the one we bought at the last auction. Can't have just ONE of something, where's the fun in that? The crocks went for $50 - $120 at the last one we went to. I don't know enough about them to bid wisely. TOTALLY NON GEOCACHING RELATED I don't know what the 2 items are, but it looks like a great auction! I'd love to have a couple of those kraut crocks and a jug or 2! Farm auctions are a lot of fun. LOL Oh wait .. looks like it's now a "Large Country and Farm Memorabilia Auction And WOW, this new, a TWO-RING auction. I'll need a bigger house for sure. BTW - if anyone can tell me what's in the 4th picture on the top row, or the 1st picture in the 12th row I'd sure like to know. We have a few theories on the 1st row picture, that other one though is a stumper. (Mike L my $$ is on you! How do you fit the "north 40" over the mantle? You must have a huge house if you buy farms to decorate it with. I thought the SLAGA jet and aircraft carrier was extravagant. **************************************** For List Info or To make _ANY_ changes to your account, including unsubscribing from this list, click -----> //www.freelists.org/list/geocaching Missouri Caches Scheduled to be Archived http://tinyurl.com/87cqw Missouri Geocaching land use policies --> www.MoCache.net MoGeo Forums -->http://mogeo.ipbhost.com/index.php
