There is a free program called Spybot Search and Destroy. You can download it
once you set it up it will check for over 700k known threats. I just used it
on my week old laptop and I already had 20 threats. Care's computer is
seriously infected with pop-ups. It's good to get on top of these things
before they get out of hand.

Care had simular problems on her laptop. I think it was some kind of pop-up
ad. I did a spybot sweep and a restart and it went away.

GlacierAlpha Antivirus has somehow become installed on my laptop (bought =
from eBay) and won't go away. It keeps popping up wanting to renew for =
another year at a hefty price. I don't want it at all but can't Remove =
it under Remove Programs.=20
When I don't answer to download it, my computer goes into some kind of =
safe mode screen and then pops off to restart again.
Can anyone tell me something to do? (I can just hear some of the =
suggestions now..smile.)
