I saw a few claiming to be from Ebay yesterday to get your social security number, bank account info, credit card info, etc... Use your best judgement. If you get one of these e-mails, forward it (not as an attachment or change the subject line) to: Ebay: spoof@xxxxxxxx Paypal: spoof@xxxxxxxxxx Or forward it to the institution it claims to be from. Sometimes I get one from time to time from banks I have never done business with. And the age old saying "If in doubt, throw it out" also applies to this. ~Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: Bernie To: Geo Sent: Sunday, May 29, 2005 4:17 AM Subject: [GeoStL] NCR - If you are a PayPal user, be very careful on some of the email you get. On three occasions within the last week or so I received an email that looked like it was sent from PayPal and upon investigation I found out that they were all bogus. These scammers are trying to get personal info out of you. DO NOT answer any of there questions. Report the email to PayPal instead. Bernie. **************************************** Our WebPage!
