[GeoStL] Magellan Explorist 500

Anyone out there use an Explorist 500 and could give good step by step
instructions for downloading geocache.com geocache infomation directly (or
at least simply) into the unit? A friend (and new cacher) is looking for
help in this. They are not real computer savy so hopefully the steps are
simple enough for them to follow.
BTW: is it my imagination or is Geocaching.com and Garmin companies closely
teamed? They seem to be promoting each other and Magellan (and other) GPS
companies seem be be left on thier own with minimal or no real support (and
that seems to work the otherway also to some extent).
