The St. Louis Orienteering Club has several events per year at various Missouri
State Parks like Meremac, Babler, Cuivre River and Hawn. These are
competitions too. With the turn out and price they charge I doubt they are
being required to provide insurance on the level being asked for MOGA. Anybody
know?

Probably because they know a family who want to have a picnic for a family
reunion isn't going to use it if the insurance makes it cost prohibitive,
but gee, us rich geocachers are an organized group who have plenty of dough
to throw around. It probably boils down to one more thing that lawyers have
screwed up for us in this country. I have an idea Tim. You rent the
pavillion for a birthday party for Molly. That way we shouldn't have to pay
insurance, right?
