-I had been awake a few minutes, I wonder if the first wave woke me up. My girlfriend in Edwardsville felt it differently than we did She said they felt two "waves" one string one and a few seconds later a stronger one. They saw the walls in their 1920's Sears-like house "wave" too. I was awake and my husband and I had to argue about it first. He said, "It's the dog stuck under the bed trying to get out." I told him, "No it's not, it's an earth quake or the tree finally fell over." So much for animals being a warning system, our goofus dog slept through it. Although, he had been acting a couple of hours beforehand -- pacing, whining and just not able to find a place to be comfortable -- when it comes to the "Real thing" he sleeps right through it.
