Right now it is free, I paid to have a registered copy and I am one of the beta testers so I generally get at least an updated version with new features every day. The Next release if gonna have so much neat stuff added into it it will be hard to realize all that it can do. I use it every day and have several databases of waypoints, each with 3-4000 wpts each.
