What's the purpose of the license & does anyone here have one? Do you just 
avoid those channels? it seems like you're pretty limited on channels without 
the license.

$75 license for 5 years and you can get it online @fcc.gov

What the heck is this all about? According to my owners manual I can not 
operate on channels 1 through 7 or 15 through 22 without applying for & 
recieving an FCC licence & call sign!
